Ακολουθεί σχετικό κείμενο στα αγγλικά από την Βρετανική Πρεσβεία:
What we offer to the Greek delegates:
- A one hour session to showcase the opportunities in Greece within one of the open theatres as part of the main agenda.
- Passes to the ‘Thought Leadership Dinner’ taking place on the 10th of June exclusive to our speakers sponsors and invited guests
- Passes included for a boat trip to see the bottom fixed wind farm off the coast of Aberdeen
- ‘Meet the Buyer’ meetings for 1 hour post in country session arranged by EIC to align with the individual companies procurement lists
There is also the possibility that we arrange a boat trip to the the Kincardine Wind Farm (the largest floating offshore windfarm in the world) for which we have to make a special booking , so we need to know asap numbers of people in order to estimate the exact cost.
There are other site visits on offer. So, if you are interested in more than one, please let us, so we can book a package for all our delegates and ask EIC to arrange the logistics.
You can find suggestions of sites to visit in the attached brochure, but I selected some below:
Kittybrewster Hydrogen Refuelling Station
A tailored, state-of-the-art hydrogen refuelling station at the Kittybrewster bus depot. The facility produces green hydrogen from electrolysis on site – a process that extracts hydrogen from water using electricity generated from renewables. Hydrogen is stored as a compressed gas until needed and then pumped in to vehicles. The site has the capacity to produce 360kg of hydrogen a day. This is enough to fuel the current fleet of 10,42-seat buses to travel 350km a day.
Port of Aberdeen – South Harbour
Completed in August 2023, the £420 million Aberdeen South Harbour expansion is the largest marine infrastructure project in Trust Port history. The now completed harbour offers 1,500 meters of deep-water berths to a maximum depth of -15m, extensive heavy-lift capabilities, 125,000sqm of flexible laydown space and ample project areas for vessels up to 300m in length.
TECA Energy Centre
Innovative energy centre which uses food and garden waste from around Aberdeen, its then digested in a anaerobic plant and the resulting hydrogen gas is harvested and used to power the energy centre which supplies heating, cooling and power not only to P&J Live but also the onsite hotels.
The National Decommissioning Centre (NDC)
A £38m partnership between the University of Aberdeen, Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC) and industry, part of the Aberdeen City Region Deal. Combining industry expertise with academic excellence, the NDC is working in partnership with the energy sector to lead in Research and Development that will support the sector to achieve cost reductions, extend field and asset life, and transform approaches to deliver sustainable net zero decommissioning. Facilities include a real-time simulator with walk in, 300 degree visual immersive environment, four control station and full real-time physics simulation of ships, cranes, ROV’s etc. to allow scenario planning.
